Web Site Statistics Information
Web Head has extensive installing, configuring and
managing several web statistics software. Over the years
Web Head has worked with Web Trends, Web Log Expert, Hit
Box and Urchin. Web Head has worked with the
configuration and report creation features of these
products. We have helped clients set up general reports
as well as site specific reports. We have provided
training on the use of the software packages and have
provided technical support as well.
There are several options to consider when inquiring
about web statistics for your website.
1. Simple counter. FrontPage includes a very basic
page counter component that simply increases it's count
each time someone visits a particular page. This works
well for simple counting, but you have to install it on
each page you want to keep track of and the count is not
always accurate. Also, it is prone to getting reset
sometimes and you lose your count. Example (scroll to
bottom of page):

2. If we host your website on one of our Windows
servers, you can view the visitation reports available
through the FrontPage editing software. These reports
may provide you with the level of information that you
need. Here is an example.
3. Web Log Expert. Web reports are run monthly and
are sent in HTML format via email. They are very
detailed. Here is an example as posted online:

4. External provider software, e.g. Hit Box. This
solution requires you to install some JavaScript at the
bottom of each page you want tracked. Looks and feels
very similar to the solution above. You can visit their
site to get some information:
